DDP Streamer
Play videos, pictures, text, clocks and animations on your LED matrix. Free and open source, for Windows, Mac and Linux. Works with WLED and other displays that take DDP.
What it does
- Plays almost anything: video files with sound kept in sync, pictures, the whole screen or one window, cameras, scrolling or animated text, and clocks.
- Scripts: 27 ready-made animations and live data such as weather, stock prices and news headlines, or write your own in a few lines of Python.
- Playlist: mix everything, loop it, start it with Windows, or play it on a schedule.
- Several displays: the same picture on all of them, or one big picture across them.
- Finds your displays on the network and reads their size.
Tested with WLED on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-RGB-Matrix, the Adafruit Matrix Portal S3 and the Apollo M-1. Other WLED boards and DDP devices should work too.
One picture across several displays
Join displays into one big picture, even when they are built from different panels. Give each display its pixel pitch (P2, P2.5, P3...) and the streamer lines them up by real size, so the picture continues straight across. Brightness and color can be set per display, with a test pattern to match them by eye.
Or the same picture on every display
Mirror sends the whole picture to each display at its own size, every display getting each new frame at the same moment. The stats overlay shows the frames sent and the frames each display really draws.
Animations and live data
Pick a script, set its sliders and colors while the preview runs, and it plays on the wall.

Made for walls that run on their own
Set it to open when Windows starts and the wall comes back by itself after a power cut. If a video or script fails, it moves on to the next item instead of stopping. Downloads for Windows, Mac and Linux and the full manual are on GitHub.
