There is a built in Mixer in DJ6900. There are volume fader for both players and a crossfader. The crossfader is used to perform smooth manual trasitions between players. The Mixer has 7 pre-programed crossfades. Crossfades are described below in 1 - 7. The VU Meters and a numerical value for the volume setting are displayed on the Mixer. Hot keys for the mixer are described here.

1 Hardcut crossfade to Player B * This transition type is not really a crossfade.
When used, playback switches from one track to the next without a crossfade.

2 Linear crossfade to Player B * The linear crossfade is the most popular type. The
ending track fades out with a linear curve, while the following track fades in with a
linear curve. This is the crossfade used while in auto mix mode.
3 Equal power crossfade to Player B * This crosfade type creates a smooth fade
curve between the tracks that gives nearly equal volume / power throughout the
fade. It is most commonly used to keep a high output level across the whole
4 Slow slow crossfade to Player B * This type of crossfade takes the current track
out slowly as it slowly fades in the next track.
5 Fast slow crossfade to Player B * In this crossfade, the current track fades out
quickly, while the next track fades in slowly.
6 Slow fast crossfade to Player B * In this crossfade, the current track fades out
slowly, while the next track fades in quickly.
7 Flash cut crossfade to Player B * This type really is not a crossfade. When
pressed playback switches to the next track with out a crossfade temporarily then
when release play back switches back to the original track.
8 Numerical value of the volume slider for player A.
9 Peak meter levels for Player A
10 Volume fader for Player A
11 Crossfader for Player A and Player B
12 Volume fader for Player B

* The corresponding button on the other side of the mixer will do the same crossfade but to Player A.

DJ6900 has a 10 band EQ for precise sound sculpting. There are 10 bands of control for each player. The bands on the left will control player A and the bands on the right control player B. The On/Off button will turn on or off the EQ for each prospective player. The Reset button will reset the bands to the middle for the respective player. The EQ will also load and save EQF files. EQF files are EQ settings files that are used by most other popular mp3 player. When saving EQ setting, only the setting for player A are saved. When loading setting the setting are loaded into both players.

1 These are the sliders for the ten ban eq
2 The On/Offbutton toggles the eq on and off for player A
3 The Reset Button resets all the eq sliders to the middle for player A
