History file for VirtualDisplay

About

This is a Virtual Display for the PJRC mp3 player available at www.pjrc.com. This program
emulates the hardware display and buttons board available for the PJRC mp3 player.
After creating FontEdit I realized that I had most of the code done for a display. All
I had to do was add the serial i/o and message parsing.

There may be problems with the random button. It seems when the player boots up it
sends the button commands to the display. The player sends 'NXT_LIST' to the display to
use for the random button. But the random buttons should use 'RANDOM'. Is this correct?
I could not find any documentation on the use of the buttons so this is all kind of done
with guess work and code reading.

Features
    - Has all the features as the real display and button boards.
    - BUT this version does not support custom fonts or button repeats. Next version will.

How to use
    - Right mouse click for pop up menu
    - The menu lets you set com port setting, open/close com connection, and open the debug window
    - The debug window will show all the messages being sent by the mp3 player.
    - Place your fontX.txt files in the fonts directory. If you make changes to a fontX.txt file
you must remove the corresponding fontX.bmp file so that a new bit map file will be generated.
    - The 'X' in fontX.txt and fontX.bmp should be a number between 0 and 31. Font files must
      follow this naming format.
